Bulle Nº 3453

A very early Bulle clock serial number 3453. This probably puts production in about 1920- 21 when the Bulle clock was first announced in the media.

The base is superb showing a lovely figuration in the grain. The base was in such good original condition that I have left it un-restored with just a polish of Beeswax to bring out the shine. It also retains its original “British Horoelectric” label. These oblong labels are often found in English or French depending on which market they are sold into.

This particular base has brass stringing around the centre. They are sometimes supplied without. If you find a clock without the stringing, check to see if there is a small hole at the back where the brass was captured by a small pin. It it doesn’t exist then the clock was never intended to have the stringing. The underside of the base is also in excellent condition with the battery door free from any battery acid.
