These Balance springs are hand made to order and are of exceptional quality. They are indistinguishable from the original spring. The collet has been formed in exactly the same way  with the spring pinched in position.  They come with the spring extended to 13.5 turns to allow them to be cut precisely to length. It is recommended that they be run in on 3.5 volts for a couple of days before switching back to 1.5 volts.  The price is a tad expensive but they are hand made and reflects the amount of work put into each one. Most people wil know that I have tried for years to source these all to no avail. Of all the manufacturers I tried, 80% failed to produce a good sample while the rest  wanted unrealistic initial orders. The guy who makes these has taken a year to perfect the process and deserves every penny.
